What I hate about skill capping is the random nature of the bosses. I spent hours in perdition rock looking for echo.

You're gonna hate me for this, but Barrage is also available from Markis on the Moladune co-op, and is easy to get. Guaranteed spawn (After all, he is the end boss), & not too many enemies (Especially if you run up to the seer, then just carry on with the mission ignoring the infuse task)....
....the only thing is that you have to make your party aware that you want to cap the elite, and to only aggro 2 jade bows hidden in the pillars, THEN kill Markis, THEN kill the other 2 jade bows, otherwise, the mission will end before you can cap the skill.

Can anybody confirm this? FoC is the last necro elite that I need, and if I can avoid having to make a trip to Dreadnought's I'd love that.

no i knew... if you read the second 2 paragraphs of my post, you'll see I tried it, personally I find Abaddon's Mouth easier than Iron Mines... i think Iron Mines is the most difficult mission with henchies

Shield of Deflection is so ridiculous. The boss never spawns, even with the better rates, and it takes a fair amount of time to get to the first spawn and practically an hour to get to the second one. It doesn't help that henchies get rocked and most human teams don't go the second way. I've spent about 6~ hours trying to get it and still haven't.
Ether Prodigy and Migraine are in the same boat, but at least their bosses spawn more.

Can I offer some advice from a Necro that has alreay kill Maw and caputed FoC?
The trip from Snake Dance to DD builds character and skill. Do it repeatedly. It gets easer and easier with practice. If you can master this part of the game, you can beat anything in GW.

You can check all the spawn points even if you go through the front door. In fact, I prefer that way. Go in the front, clear out the fortress, then use your nukers to blow the seal on the "back door". Then you can go check the breeze keeper boss spawn at the back of the volcano. Not to mention a crack at another Mursaat outside the gate.

I had to do the entire run four times in a row (once for my Mo/R for escape and punishing shot, twice for my N/Me thanks to err=7 just before Maw, then another time for W/E for earth shaker). There's about five encounters you just keep getting: mob of summit herders and a master, mob of gryphons, mob of azure shadows, mob of tundra giants, mob of trolls. Each encounter is identical and gets repetitive incredibly fast, but the tundra giants really take the cake.
I don't consider beating the same mobs over and over again 'mastering' anything, especially considering their bland composition - the only thing I got better at was knowing which mobs I could avoid to lessen the pain of having to fight yet another group with predictable outcome. However, if the challenge of Guild Wars constitutes 'repetitive boring pain', then yes, beating Snake Dance properly prepares you for the game.

Shield of Judgment with henchmen, one of thee hardest; all he does is freaking heal the other guys; 2 mesmers 2 melee and 1 gulie.
the only thing that was more time consuimg was all of frozen forest for everyclass.
the stone summit types; then the tree types.... leave from copperhammer for the stone summit; leave Iron mines for tree types....
some other skill ill hate to get are the Feast of Curroption; Punishing shot; and back breaker. those are the upper ones. but hopfully the war camp will make this easier.
exuces the grammar and lack of spelling; i pulled an all nighter of farming...

i found quickshot was hard to get.... he wanders completely around perdition rock and rarely spawns... as for FOC i just bought it, what w/ increased faction and all. Although i have been up to help a buddie cap it... i feel everyone should experience it, quite fun.

For me, spellbreaker. I have taken probably 4 trips the whole way through and more than that going to the first supposed spawn spot.. bastard is never there.

all of them ... easy ... most annoying for me was Aura of Faith because I FORGOT INTERRUPTS ... how could I be so silly ... I just killed everything else ... and hit my ctrl 'Im targeting this healing azz' then walked away from my computer for a good 20 minutes and came back and he was floating at about 25% health. I will never forget that ... most annoying (self inflicted) skill cap wound of the game.

before the update on signet of capture, the most elusive is powerblock. and the stances.
now, capping is not that elusive. difficult ones to get is Feast of Corruption and Shield of Deflection.

Feast of Corruption was definately one of the hardest to cap. When I went for it I kept using Henchies, and the 60% DP didn't help the fact that we simply couldn't beat the wurm. Then two of my friends helped and we got it first try. Jus takes patience. Capped every necro elite, that one and Aura of the Lich (try with henchies -_- have to get him to spawn at the closet location) had to be the hardest to cap.
